Match Recap
FBC Melgar were seconds from letting a stoppage-time equalizer slip through their fingers before Sport Boys grabbed one right back. Johnny Vidales put the hosts ahead in the 41st minute, and it looked like it might be enough until Hernán Da Campo pounced deep into first-half added time, leveling it at 1-1 right before the break. That draw does little to shake up the Primera División table: Melgar sit fourth on 45 points with three wins in their last five, while Sport Boys are further back in tenth on 37, though their WLWWD run shows they're no pushovers on the road. History favored the hosts too, Melgar having won the only previous meeting between these sides. Neither E. Castillo, the league's 20-goal top scorer, nor anyone else from the division's elite found the net here, but Vidales and Da Campo both delivered when it mattered. Watch how Da Campo's stoppage-time strike snuck past Melgar's defense to snatch a point at the death.
