Match Recap
Rio Ave needed a goal-fest comeback to get past Nacional, and N. Kader nearly ruined the script for them. The Nacional forward struck twice, in the 32nd and 59th minutes, and had Rio Ave chasing the game for long stretches of this Primeira Liga clash. But Sebastian Clemensen leveled things before the break, Diogo Bezerra put the hosts ahead in the 57th, and Jalen Blesa settled a wild five-goal afternoon with the decisive strike in the 72nd. It's a result both sides badly needed: Rio Ave and Nacional arrived level on points and both mired in the relegation zone, with Nacional winless in five and riding a five-match losing streak that this defeat only extends. For Rio Ave, it's revenge of sorts too, having lost the previous meeting between these two. Kader's brace won't be enough to erase the sting of conceding the winner with 18 minutes still to play. Watch how Blesa found the space to beat the Nacional defense for the goal that turned this one around.
