Inverness CT 2–0 Stenhousemuir

Inverness CT ended Stenhousemuir's perfect start to the Championship season, snapping a five-game winning run with a 2-0 win at home. Stenhousemuir arrived top of the table on 22 points and five straight victories, while Inverness sat eighth with just two wins from five, and the recent head-to-head favored the visitors too, who won the last meeting between these sides. None of that mattered once A. Mackinnon broke through in the 26th minute, and Inverness doubled their lead nine minutes later through R. Savage to put the game beyond reach before half-time. Stenhousemuir's response never really arrived, their five-star form undone in the space of a single half. For Inverness, it's a result that bucks their own patchy WDWLL run and hands Championship leaders a first defeat of the campaign in the most emphatic way: on their own ground, with the damage done by the 35th minute. Watch how Mackinnon and Savage dismantled the league's form team inside nine first-half minutes in the highlights below.
