Match Recap
Stenhousemuir keep the perfect start rolling. S. Young's 20th-minute strike was enough on its own at Ayr, and it stretched the visitors' unbeaten run to five straight wins, sending them top of the Championship table on 19 points. Ayr Utd, by contrast, sit sixth with just one win from five and now a fourth defeat to show for it after a WLLDL stretch that's given them nothing to build on. There wasn't a flurry of chances or a late twist here, just one clinical moment that Stenhousemuir made stand up for ninety minutes, the kind of game management that separates a team on a five-match streak from one searching for form. Ayr Utd pushed but never found the equalizer, and Stenhousemuir's back line did the rest. It's the sort of result that looks tight on paper and feels comfortable in practice for the away side. Want to see the goal that decided it? Young's finish in the 20th minute is the only highlight this match needed, catch it below.
