Match Recap
Frankfurt led twice and Freiburg answered twice, and by full time SC Freiburg's perfect start to the Bundesliga season had survived, barely. Younes Ebnoutalib put the hosts ahead inside ten minutes, but Derry Lionel Scherhant leveled for Freiburg before Jonathan Burkardt restored Frankfurt's lead just two minutes later. Freiburg arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt unbeaten through three matches and sitting second in the table with nine points, and they needed a response fast. It came three minutes into the second half, when Yuito Suzuki made it 2-2 and kept that flawless run alive. Frankfurt, ninth after a mixed opening month, have their own recent edge in this fixture though, unbeaten against Freiburg across their last three meetings, with two wins and a draw. Neither side found a winner after Suzuki's strike, so the points were shared and Freiburg's perfect record just about held. Rewind to the 48th minute and watch Suzuki snatch it back for Freiburg in real time.
