Match Recap
Real Sociedad needed just six minutes to set the tone, Orri Steinn Óskarsson poking home the opener before Levante had settled. Nacho Pérez Gómez levelled things on 22 minutes, giving the visitors brief hope of taking something from San Sebastián, but Benat Turrientes restored the hosts' lead five minutes later and it held. The 2-1 win keeps Real Sociedad fifth in La Liga on 19 points with four victories from five, riding a four-game winning run before this one, while Levante stay 14th with just a single win all season. It continues a familiar pattern between these two: Real Sociedad have won one and drawn the other of their last two meetings, still unbeaten against Levante in that stretch. Óskarsson's early strike and Turrientes' response five minutes after conceding were the difference, two quick-fire goals either side of Levante's brief leveller. Watch how Real Sociedad snapped back within minutes of being pegged back, Turrientes' 27th-minute winner is the clip worth rewinding.
