Match Recap
Al-Ettifaq didn't just beat Al Kholood, they buried them. A stoppage-time strike from Khalid Al-Ghannam right before the break set the tone, and Bersant Celina put it away with a second in the 78th minute as the one-sided demolition turned into a comfortable 3-0 away from home in the Pro League. It's the third straight defeat in this fixture for Al Kholood, who have now lost every meeting with Al-Ettifaq in their last two encounters and sit ninth with just one win in five games, a run reflected in a limp LLLWD form string. Al-Ettifaq climb to seventh on 15 points, their own patchy LWDDD stretch smoothed over for a night by a result that never looked in doubt once Al-Ghannam broke the deadlock. Neither side has a name among the league's top scorers behind leader I. Toney's 48 goals, but Celina's finish deserves its own spotlight. Catch both goals, including that first-half sucker punch, in the highlights below.
