Livingston 1–2 Partick

Partick's Peter Reading made sure Livingston's late revival meant nothing, grabbing both of his side's goals in a 2-1 Championship win at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Reading struck first in the 17th minute, then came off worse for a Livingston response just before the break, when B. van Hoeven levelled things up right on 44 minutes to send the home fans into the interval believing. Any hope that was building didn't survive long into the second half: Reading was back on the scoresheet in the 62nd minute, completing his brace and restoring Partick's lead for good. The result also extends Livingston's miserable recent record against this opponent, having lost their only previous meeting too. With Livingston sitting fourth on 13 points and Partick a place and two points above them, this was the sort of tight mid-table scrap that both will feel they couldn't afford to lose. Reading's double is the highlight here, and his second goal, the one that settled it, is exactly the moment worth watching back.
