Match Recap
A nervy night in the USL Championship ended with Sacramento Republic denying FC Tulsa all three points, and it took until the 89th minute for them to do it. Tulsa had led since Alexander Ordonez struck in just the 9th minute, and for long stretches it looked like they'd hold on to protect their spot in fourth with 41 points. But Marcos Rodriguez, who sits seventh in the league's scoring charts with four goals, had other ideas, snatching a late equalizer that kept Sacramento's push for third-place form intact at 43 points and five wins from their last five outings. Tulsa's own run has been shakier by comparison, just one win in that same stretch, and this result does nothing to settle the nerves. Rodriguez's leveler overshadowed even the league's current top scorer, P. Goodrum, on a night that belonged to the away side's resolve. Watch how Rodriguez ghosts in to beat the clock and the Tulsa defense in the 89th minute, the goal that turned a quiet draw into one worth replaying.
