Meshakhte 1–2 Saburtalo

Saburtalo put this one away early, and Meshakhte never found a way back in. Phillip Cancar opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and nika sikharulashvili doubled the lead five minutes later to make it 2-0 before the half-hour mark. Meshakhte pulled one back through Tsotne Patsatsia in the 33rd minute, but that was as close as the hosts got in this Erovnuli Liga clash. The result fits the form book: Saburtalo sit fourth with 46 points, while Meshakhte remain stuck in tenth with just 17, and the head-to-head tells the same story, with the hosts winless in three previous meetings against this opponent. For a side chasing its first win over Saburtalo in recent memory, falling behind twice inside 23 minutes was always going to be too steep a hill. Watch how Cancar and sikharulashvili tore through Meshakhte's defense in that opening spell, and how close Patsatsia's strike came to sparking a real fightback.
