Match Recap
Zannetos Savva's brace wasn't enough to save Olympiakos from a collapse that keeps their winless run going. Aris struck first through junior rody effaghe in the 40th minute, and when Savva leveled things in the 75th it looked like Olympiakos had turned the tide at home. They hadn't. Aris had already restored their lead before Savva pulled one back again in the 88th, a nervy finish that fell just short. The result flips last season's single meeting between the two sides, which ended level, and drops Olympiakos to 10th in the 1. Division table on four points from four straight draws, their form line reading DDDD with zero wins. Aris, meanwhile, climb to ninth with five points and their first win of the campaign. League top scorer R. Mmaee's 21-goal tally remains untouched by either side's attack tonight. For a home crowd that watched their team lead, trail, and nearly rescue a point, Savva's 88th-minute strike is the moment worth rewinding, right up until the final whistle snatched it away.
