Match Recap
Goztepe did the double over Kocaelispor without ever beating them before, grinding out a 2-1 win in the Süper Lig built almost entirely on second-half nerve. Show put the visitors ahead in the 24th minute, and Kocaelispor held on and even threatened a response until Goztepe's N. Miroshi struck again in the 77th to settle it. B. Kutlu's reply three minutes later, in the 82nd, was too late to change anything but gave the home crowd something to shout about. It's a result that bends the recent history between these two sides, who had drawn both of their last two meetings, firmly Goztepe's way. Kocaelispor's form read LLWLW coming in and now takes another dent, while Goztepe, despite sitting three points and four places behind their hosts in the table, leave with the bigger prize. Neither side's leading scorer troubled the league's top charts here, but the two goals that mattered most both came from the away end. Watch how Miroshi's 77th-minute strike unravels Kocaelispor's resistance right when it looked like they might survive.
