Deportivo Universitario 1–1 Union Cocle

Deportivo Universitario refused to roll over for Union Cocle, grinding out a 1-1 draw at home to extend their unbeaten run in this fixture to two matches. The result stings for the visitors, who arrived sitting fifth in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol with 23 points and looking every bit the side that should have closed out three points. Instead, they leave with just one, their recent form now reading WDWLD after dropping points to a home side that had lost three in a row before finding back-to-back wins. Deportivo Universitario, down at 11th with 14 points, now have a win and a draw across their last two meetings with Cocle, without conceding a defeat. It's the kind of stubborn point that shifts the mood in a dressing room. Both goals are in the highlights reel below, and the one that forced the share is worth every second.
