Match Recap
Alexandru Dobre needed only two touches to settle this one, scoring twice as Rapid brushed aside Corvinul Hunedoara 2-0 in Liga I. The breakthrough came in the 61st minute, and Dobre doubled his tally 15 minutes later to put the game beyond doubt. Rapid now sit second in the table on 24 points with four wins from five, and this result stretches a run that reads WWWWD, exactly the kind of form a title-chasing side needs heading into the business end of the season. Corvinul, by contrast, arrive at this defeat seventh on 16 points with a shakier WWLLD stretch behind them, and they offered little resistance once Dobre found his range. The league leaderboard still has A. Cordea out front on 16 goals, but Dobre's brace here is the kind of two-goal afternoon that keeps a striker firmly in that conversation. Both goals carry real quality, so if you want to see exactly how Dobre picked apart Corvinul's defense twice in 15 minutes, the highlights below show both strikes in full.
