Match Recap
Mirassol needed just three second-half minutes to turn a scoreless stalemate into control, and they never let go. Carlos Eduardo de Oliveira Alve broke the deadlock in the 48th minute, and André Luis sealed it with eighty-seven on the clock, giving Mirassol a 2-0 win over Internacional in Serie A. Both sides arrived with near-identical form in the table, Mirassol 15th with 33 points, Internacional 17th with 32, but this result tilts history further in the home side's favor: Mirassol now lead their recent head-to-head with Internacional two wins to none in three meetings, with the other game drawn. Neither side's goalscorers crack the league's top ten, where Kaio Jorge still sits out front with 25 goals, but on this night Mirassol didn't need a star name, just two well-timed strikes either side of the hour. Catch both goals, Carlos Eduardo's opener and André Luis's late clincher, in the highlights below.
