Match Recap
AEK Larnaca dominated this 1. Division clash from start to finish, putting Apoel Nicosia to the sword with three goals spread across the first 80 minutes. Jan Repas got the home side moving in the 28th minute, and Konstantinos Stafylidis made it two ten minutes later to give AEK a comfortable interval lead. Yerson Chacón then put the result beyond doubt in the 80th, and though Ioannis Avramidis pulled one back for Apoel in the 89th, the three points were already decided long before that. AEK climb to second in the early 1. Division standings on three points from their opening game, while Apoel sit 13th without a point to show. The result also extends AEK's head-to-head edge over their Cypriot rivals, two wins in the last three meetings between the sides. Chacón's cool finish to make it 3-0 on 80 minutes is the goal you will not want to miss.
