Inverness CT 2–0 Morton

Inverness CT finally found the win column, and Morton keep sliding. Paul Allan broke the deadlock in the 26th minute, poking Inverness ahead in a Championship clash they badly needed, and Alan Bavidge doubled it just after the hour to seal a 2-0 result. It's only Inverness's first win in five, and their patchy DWLLD form shows how much they were craving three points to climb off the bottom half of the table. For Morton, it's the opposite story entirely: still winless after five games, a fifth defeat in six, and a run that's left them stuck at ten points off just one. League leading scorer R. Muirhead watched from elsewhere as neither Allan nor Bavidge threatened his tally, but both will feel like the club's biggest names after this. Inverness's response after going toe to toe with a struggling Morton side says plenty about where these two clubs are heading. Catch both goals, Allan's opener and Bavidge's second-half sealer, in the highlights below.
