Match Recap
T. Chery put NEC Nijmegen in complete control before PEC Zwolle had found their footing, scoring twice inside the first 23 minutes to make it a miserable evening at home for the struggling Eredivisie side. Kostons pulled one back for Zwolle on the stroke of halftime to give the hosts a flicker of hope, but Schuurs killed the contest off in the 83rd minute, confirming a comfortable 3-1 away win for NEC. It is the second win in three Eredivisie games for Nijmegen, who move to six points and into the top half of the table, while Zwolle remain deep in trouble on just three points from four games. Chery's brace lifts him to ten Eredivisie goals this season, placing him joint-tenth among the league's top scorers, with only R. Pepi's 15-goal haul keeping him off the leading pack. Go back and watch how early Chery's second goal came, because it was the moment Zwolle's evening was already over.
