Match Recap
Marquense held their nerve in a tense Liga Nacional finish, surviving a late scare to beat Cobán Imperial 2-1 at home. D. Chuc broke the deadlock in the 16th minute, and D. Grande doubled the advantage before the half-hour mark, giving Marquense what looked like comfortable control. Cobán Imperial refused to go quietly, though, and U. Amaral's 88th-minute strike set up a frantic closing stretch that the home side just barely weathered. It's a split record between these two clubs across their last two meetings, and Marquense now holds the edge. Neither scorer featured among Liga Nacional's top ten, with league leader N. Martinez — sitting on 21 goals — watching from elsewhere, but the real story here wasn't individual brilliance: it was whether two minutes of stoppage time would cost Marquense everything. They survived. Amaral's late strike and the two minutes that followed it are exactly why you pull up the highlights.
