Sao Paulo 1–1 Coritiba

Coritiba cancelled out a Sao Paulo lead to claim a 1-1 draw in Serie A, a point that felt far more significant to the visitors than the hosts. Pablo Maia had given Sao Paulo the perfect first-half platform, scoring in the 43rd minute, but Tiago Coser's equalizer twelve minutes after the break levelled matters and left Sao Paulo still searching for a win. Five games without one now, three losses and two draws in that span, and 27 points in 12th underlines the depth of the rut. Coritiba arrive at 31 points and 10th, four points clear of their hosts, and grabbed something from a ground where they had lost their only previous meeting with Sao Paulo. Kaio Jorge leads the Serie A scoring charts at 23 goals, with neither scorer in this match troubling that elite company. Watch Coser's 57th-minute finish to see exactly how Sao Paulo's evening unravelled.
