Match Recap
Nahuel Bustos put Santa Fe ahead in the fifth minute and never let go, scoring either side of a Deportivo Pereira equalizer to snap a 2-2 draw into a 1-2 win for the visitors. Marco Pérez had leveled it right before the break, deep into stoppage time, giving Pereira's home crowd a false sense of security that Bustos erased with his second inside the hour. This was only the second meeting between the two Primera A sides, and after a draw last time out, Santa Fe now leads the head to head with their first win. The result tells the wider story too: Santa Fe's five-match run of LWWDW has them sitting seventh with 29 points, while Pereira, winless in that stretch and rooted at 20th, slide further into trouble. Two goals from one player settled this one on their own merit, no help needed from H. Rodallega or anyone else atop the scoring charts. Watch Bustos's early strike and his match-sealing second to see exactly how Santa Fe turned a five-minute goal into a full three points.
