Match Recap
Dunav Ruse didn't need a storyline twist to get past Spartak Varna, just two well-timed strikes in a First League clash between two mid-table sides still finding their footing. Alexander Valiño Navasal broke the deadlock in the 17th minute, giving Dunav Ruse the platform to sit in and control the game, and Radoslav Apostolov sealed it in the 76th to turn a narrow lead into a comfortable 2-0 win. Both teams arrived with similar form, Spartak Varna sitting seventh on 13 points and Dunav Ruse down in tenth on 8, and this result nudges the home side back into contention while denying Spartak Varna any momentum from their own patchy run. Neither side has J. Zwarts, the league's 16-goal top scorer, on their books, so this one was decided by Dunav Ruse's own finishers stepping up when it mattered. Catch Valiño Navasal's opener and Apostolov's late clincher in the video highlights below.
