Match Recap
Vladyslav Vanat put on a show at Montilivi, ripping through Celta de Vigo II's back line for a hat-trick as Girona turned the game into a one-sided demolition. The first blow landed in the 17th minute, and by the half-hour mark Unai Hernández and a second Vanat strike had it 3-0 before Carles Pérez added a fourth just before the break. Óscar Marcos pulled one back for the visitors early in the second half, but it barely registered against the scale of the damage: 5-1, six goals in total, and Girona's fourth-place Segunda División position now looks thoroughly earned on the back of three wins in five. Celta de Vigo II, meanwhile, sit 16th with just one win from five and a run of form that reads LDWLD, a gulf this result laid bare. Miguel de la Fuente still tops the Segunda División scoring charts with seven, but Vanat's treble was the story of the afternoon. Watch Vanat's second, in the 29th minute, to see exactly how one-sided this got.
