Match Recap
Fortuna Sittard led inside ten minutes and almost held on. Anthony Descotte struck in the 9th to put the hosts ahead, but Twente dragged themselves level through Robin Propper in the 34th, and that's how it stayed. A point apiece in the Eredivisie keeps both sides moving but settles little: Twente sit fourth on 16 with four wins from five and a form line of WWWDW, while Fortuna are sixth on 13 after a shakier WLWWL stretch. History favored the visitors coming in, too, Twente having won the only previous meeting between these two on record. Neither R. Pepi, the league's current top scorer, nor anyone from this match features among the division's top ten, so the goals here came from unexpected sources rather than the usual suspects. A fast start, a swift reply, and six minutes of real tension before the break. Watch Descotte's early finish and Propper's leveler to see exactly how Fortuna Sittard and Twente cancelled each other out.
