Match Recap
Marino Hinestroza needed just three minutes to flip this one. Corinthians had battled back from a goal down to lead 2-1, with Gustavo Henrique and Matheus Bidu turning the game around after Jose Luis Rodriguez had put Vasco DA Gama ahead in the 35th. Then Hinestroza struck in the 88th to level it, and again two minutes later to snatch a 3-2 win for Vasco DA Gama. It's a result that stretches a miserable run for Corinthians, who dropped to a fifth straight defeat and still haven't beaten their rivals in their last two meetings. Vasco DA Gama, meanwhile, keep climbing with three wins in five, Serie A form that now reads WWWDL. Five goals, two momentum swings, and a brace that arrived when it mattered most, Hinestroza's double is the kind of late drama that decides points at both ends of the table. Watch both of his strikes, and the chaos that set them up, in the match highlights below.
