Match Recap
Real Sociedad and Deportivo La Coruna combined for five goals in a La Liga shootout that swung on a blistering first-half spell from the hosts. Jon Martin broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, and five minutes later Arsen Zakharyan doubled it to put Sociedad firmly in control. Deportivo refused to fold: after Gonçalo Guedes made it 3-0 just after the break, Mario Soriano pulled one back in the 61st minute and Yeremay Hernández's 69th-minute strike turned a rout into a nervy finish. Sociedad held on at 3-2, climbing to 10 points and a three-game winning run in their last five, while Deportivo's own strong recent form, two wins and a draw in their last three, wasn't quite enough to deny them. Both sides sit level on points in the table, which only sharpens how much this result mattered. With two late goals and a three-goal cushion nearly evaporating, the closing stretch at Reale Arena got tense fast. Watch how Yeremay's 69th-minute finish nearly forced a leveler before Real Sociedad's early firepower proved decisive.
