Match Recap
Universitatea Cluj let a two-goal cushion slip but still walked away unbeaten against Arges Pitesti, settling for a 2-2 draw in Liga I after Yanis Pirvu's 62nd-minute leveler erased what had looked like a routine afternoon at home. Ricardo Matos had given the visitors an early lift in the 25th minute, only for Jovo Lukić to restore parity two minutes later and Florin Gheorghe-Borta to put the hosts in front right before the break. That cushion mattered little once Pirvu struck, but the result still extends Universitatea Cluj's perfect record against this opponent, who remain winless in their last three meetings. The gap between these sides on the table tells its own story heading in: Cluj sit fifth with 18 points and a WWWL run, while Arges Pitesti are mired in 14th with just 11 points and five straight results without a win. Four goals, a blown lead, and a draw that flatters one side far more than the other. Watch how Pirvu's leveler unfolds in the highlights below.
