Match Recap
Halmstad looked beaten at Vasteras SK FK until the clock turned against the hosts. Jonathan Karlsson had put Vasteras SK FK ahead right before the break, and that lead held deep into the second half before Pascal Gregor leveled it in the 86th minute. Two minutes into stoppage time, Hussein Carneil finished the job, snatching a 2-1 win for Halmstad that nobody in Vastmanland saw coming. It's a result that cuts against the table: Vasteras SK FK sit sixth on 38 points with three wins in five, while Halmstad are sixteenth on 17 with just two, and had dropped the reverse fixture against this same opponent. None of that mattered in the final ten minutes of this Allsvenskan clash. For a side scrapping near the bottom, a 90+2 winner on the road is the kind of goal that changes a season's mood overnight. Watch Carneil's stoppage-time strike land, and the Vasteras SK FK bench's reaction to it, in the highlights below.
