Match Recap
Omonia 29is Maiou needed until the 75th minute to break Nea Salamis down, but Luis Santos made it count, turning a scoreless grind into a 1-0 win in the Division 1 clash. The goal lifts Omonia to eighth with 8 points from five games, snapping a stretch that had seen just one win in their last five (LWLLD) and giving them something to build on after three defeats in that run. Nea Salamis, 13th on 5 points and without a win in four, will feel this one got away given how long they held firm. Neither side has a scorer among the league's top ten this season, where R. Mmaee still leads the chart on 21 goals, and that gap in firepower showed in how hard both teams had to work for a breakthrough. It took three quarters of the match, but Santos found the moment that mattered. Watch how he springs the Nea Salamis backline in the 75th minute for the only goal of the game.
